How does Orthodontic Treatment work?

By placing a gentle, consistent force in a carefully controlled direction, orthodontic appliances slowly move teeth to the optimal position.
Orthodontic technology has advance and a bracket no longer needs to be wrapped around each tooth. Now you can choose metal or clear brackets as well as the color of your appliance. Wires don’t stand out as much as they did on older models. Now braces use fewer materials and are designed with comfort in mind.
How long is the treatment?
Everyone has a different experience orthodontic treatment and it can last anywhere from six months to three years. Several variables must be considered, including treatment method, age, and the severity of the case. The more you follow your orthodontist’s instructions the more efficient your treatment can be. For children, getting braces earlier can help shorten the length of treatment.
