Jaime Alberto Rojas BSc, DDS, MSc, Dip Ortho, FRCD(C)
I truly love what I do, and am always striving to provide my patients with more comfortable and effective treatments. After over 15 years of practicing orthodontics, I know that every patient is different, and I enjoy getting to know them, and customizing each treatment plan to meet their specific needs and goals.
I know that my patients come in wanting a great new smile, but they also want a comfortable and fun experience, and it’s my job to help them relax while creating a healthy new bite and smile.
Before becoming an orthodontist, I attained my DDS from Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia, and my Diploma in Orthodontics from the University of Minnesota. I also earned my Master of Sciences from the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1997. After graduation, I taught orthodontics at the University of Manitoba, and worked at the University of Western Ontario as a full-time orthodontist. This really improved my understanding of orthodontics, and my love for dental education.
As an orthodontist, I love the daily opportunity I have to meet new friends and help them live healthier, happier lives. I choose to work in the dental health field because I want to help my patients, and know I can give them a personal and positive experience. I love the orthodontic specialty because it allows me to provide a service to patients that is specific to their needs, but always results in a beautiful smile that the person loves to show off!
Of course, I don’t provide these treatments on my own. My talented team is knowledgeable and eager to help. We all work together to help our patients feel at home, and we always take the time to answer any questions they may have. The more a patient knows about the orthodontic process and how to take great care of their teeth, the easier and faster the treatment becomes!
Family and community
I grew up in Bogota, Colombia, and have lived in London, Ontario since 1999. My lovely wife is not only my partner in life, but also my business partner. We have three children that are the lights of our lives and we enjoy taking them to their activities and watching them grow up. When I am not in the office, I am usually watching my son play hockey, or watching my girls skate.
As an active member of our community, I support the Children’s Hospital here in London. I know that children are our future, and we need to help them as much as we can. My practice also supports other community programs and organizations.
