We've shared this image of an actual patient of our office before, but we can not stress the importance of a mouthguard enough, especially with hockey, rugby and other contact sport season upon us.
As mentioned this is an actual patient of our office. He was hit in the face by a knee during a soccer game. We encourage all patients playing contact sports to wear a mouthguard. If you are unsure what type of mouthguard to wear, or your options please speak to our team members. We are here to answer your questions.
Please help us educate others and share our post!

In the media you may have heard recently the flossing may not be necessary and has no effect on getting cavities or keeping gum disease away. Well, we ask that you think twice about that statement. Patients in braces or other orthodontic appliances are at risk for inflamed gums, decalcification leading to cavities due to the lack of proper brushing and floss use. We encourage all patients to continue to floss. Please take a moment to look at these images to get an idea of what a lack of oral hygiene can do. Our advice - PLEASE FLOSS in conjunction with proper brushing.

A number of adults are getting braces a second time. The main cause is not wearing retainers. Although retainers are for life, we suggest a more practical schedule for wearing your retainers. This is discussed the day your braces come off.
May 12th, 2016
Some interesting Braces Facts!
Braces go WAY back :)
Braces have been around for a long time – with the first design being created in 1728. But due to huge advancements in technology and materials, today’s teeth straightening systems are super comfortable and efficient – some are practically invisible thanks to Invisalign’s Clear Aligners.
The Science Connection
Did you know that some wires used in orthodontic cases were developed by NASA – the wires have a shape memory so they won’t become distorted due to body heat and/or pressure.
Lighnting Isn't a Concern
Braces don’t increase your odds of being hit by lightning! Braces aren’t magnetic and won’t set-off any metal detectors.
Age is not a factor
You are never too old to wear orthodontic braces. Adult orthodontic patients make up a large segment of the population straightening their teeth. It’s never too late to have the smile you’ve always dreamed of.
Something to Think About..
100% of Orthodontists are Dentists – but only 5% of Dentists are Orthodontists. Having a consultation with a Certified Orthodontist in enables you to get a complete and accurate diagnosis from someone trained to deal specifically with malocclusion and other bite and skeletal issues.
Wear Those Retainers
Nearly 25% of orthodontic patients have to repeat treatment because they failed to wear their retainer as instructed by an orthodontist!
What Makes us Smile
Want to know what makes an Orthodontist smile – You wearing your retainer.

Have you ever wondered the difference between a dentist and an orthodontist?
March 18th, 2016
March 7th, 2016
When considering orthodontic care for yourself or a family member it can feel overwhelming and you may not be sure what questions to ask. You should know that not all dental practitioners are created equal. Some specialize in different areas of care. Orthodontists receive additional university training, education and certification in their field of expertise. Many practitioners who provide orthodontic treatment do not have additional orthodontic training from an accredited university, yet they still may refer to themselves as an orthodontist. We believe you should be informed when deciding who you will chose to do your orthodontic work.
The attached image contains a list of questions to consider when looking for an orthodontic provider.
As always our team is ready to answer any questions you may have.
Many people are misinformed when it comes to orthodontic providers and treatment. Please help us spread the word and share this blog post with your friends and family.

question we are asked on occasion is this.
"If I have braces, do I still need dental check-ups every six months?"
Definitely! In fact it is even more important that patients receiving orthodontic treatment visit their dentist regularly. With braces or other orthodontic appliances, food may be caught in places that your toothbrush can’t reach. This causes bacteria to build up that can lead to cavities, gingivitis, and gum disease. Your dentist will work closely with your orthodontist to make sure your teeth stay clean and healthy while wearing braces to help provide the best possible outcome.

Summer time foods to avoid with braces!
Getting the most from your orthodontic treatment means temporarily altering your diet to ensure you do not break brackets, bend wires which could in turn increase the time you may spend in braces. The day braces go on our staff would have reviewed foods you can and cannot eat with braces. With summer here and barbeques and many other types of activities happening you may forget some big “no no” foods with braces. Please take a look at our list and try to avoid these foods. Your braces with thank you!
Corn on the cob (you CAN cut the corn off the cob and enjoy)
Uncooked vegetables such as carrots, celery
Apples! No biting into apples, if you would like to enjoy simply cut into bit size pieces
Hard Candy, Gum etc.
It’s not just the hard, crunchy foods you should avoid. Sweet sugary drinks can cause sugar to build up beneath the braces and cause tooth decay, it is best to avoid these types of drinks.
We are not asking you to give up all your favourite things; we just ask you make some necessary adjustments to ensure the brackets remain in place. Broken brackets can increase treatment time and we want to reveal your perfect smile as soon as possible!

Josh Pritchard - Crohn’s and Colitis Canada’s Gutsy Walk
Joshua was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease one week before Christmas 2011 at the age of 8. He had lost weight, was very lethargic, looked pale and had stomach pains. For almost 2 years it was a constant battle with daily medication and vitamins to try and make Joshua feel good enough to get through the day. It wasn't working, he wasn't growing at all. Then we tried yet another medication. I am happy to say that these last 6 months Joshua has been feeling really good. You can see it in his passion for hockey thismpast winter. He didn't miss one practice or game this past season due to his disease. He gave it his all.
Joshua's doctors at the Children’s Hospital have him spend all day, every 8 weeks, in the hospital for an IV infusion of medication. He misses a day of school but it does have a positive effect. This can be a long term medication he will have to take to keep him feeling good but only if his body agrees to it. In return, there are always possible side effects that may occur in the future. This is why WE NEED TO FIND A CURE and we are turning to all of you.
Joshua and his team have walked the last 2 years in the Gutsy Walk and on Sunday, June 8th, 2014 Joshua and his team will be participating at the “Crohn’s and Colitis Canada’s Gutsy Walk” again. These much-needed funds that are raised will support critical research and education to find cures for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis and improve the lives of children and adults affected by these chronic diseases. This cause is very important, so check out Joshua's link and be GUTSY.
Canada has one of the highest rates for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis in the world and those rates are increasing.
Most alarming, the number of new cases of Crohn’s Disease in Canadian children has almost doubled since 1995.
Crohn's and colitis are lifelong diseases that can have a devastating impact on quality of life, elevate the risk of colorectal cancer, and in the case of Crohn’s Disease, shorten life expectancy.
If interested in support Joshua’s Journey please visit www.gutsywalk.ca, then click on “Pledge Participant” and either search for Joshua Pritchard or Team Name “Joshua’s Journey”

“Patient with a Cause”
MACKENZIE BERTELESEN – Juvenile Diabetes Research
Meet Mackenzie is a patient of our office. She is an active 12 year old girl, who is a competitive dancer and soccer player. She loves spending time with friends and has a passion for the arts. On October 01, 2013 Mackenzie's life changed forever, when she was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus type I, also known as type I diabetes.
Type I diabetes is an autoimmune disease that strikes suddenly by destroying the insulin producing cells in the pancreas, that leads to high levels of glucose in the blood. It represents only 5-10% of all diabetes cases and left untreated type I diabetes is fatal. It cannot be prevented; it is not caused by poor diet and cannot be modified, corrected or cured by diet. There is currently no cure for type I diabetes.
To keep Mackenzie alive, she has to endure multiple daily injections of insulin 4-6 times per day and test her blood sugar levels 6-10 times per day by pricking her finger with a needle to test her blood.
Medication and supplies to keep Mackenzie alive averages $1000 plus per month and is not covered by OHIP. It is an out of pocket expense. A CURE IS NEEDED.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), is the largest charitable funder of, and advocate for, diabetes science worldwide with more than 80% of donations directly supporting research, education and advocacy.
On June 8th, 2014 more than 45 000 people across Canada along with 6 other countries will come together as a community to raise funds for research to cure, better treat and prevent type I diabetes. Mackenzie and her family will be participating in the walk to cure type I diabetes.
Please support Mackenzie by donating to the JDRF Telus Walk to cure type I diabetes and help end this disease.

• Replace your toothbrush at least every 3-4 months or when the bristles are frayed or worn.
• Always replace your toothbrush after a cold or flu.
• Rinse your toothbrush with water to remove toothp...aste and debris after each use, and store upright to air-dry.
• Never cover the toothbrush or place in a closed container while still wet, as this will allow for the growth of more bacteria.
• If you or a family member has been ill, be sure to throw away your old toothbrush and get a new one to avoid re-contaminating yourself with germs every time you brush.
• Never store household members’ toothbrushes together in a drawer or cabinet.

Your braces are coming off and you couldn’t be happier! To maintain that beautiful smile wearing a retainer is key. Your retainer, just as your orthodontic treatment is customized to you. Full retainer instructions will be give the day you receive your retainers. These retainers must be worn which must be worn routinely after treatment in order to hold your teeth in their proper, new position while your gums, ligaments and bones adapt. Our office uses different types of retainers, the most commonly used ones are explained below.
Essix (Clear) Retainers
The Essix retainer is a transparent retainer commonly used retainer in our office. It is a removable retainer that fits over the entire arch of your teeth and is made by taking impressions of your teeth once your braces are removed. Essix retainers look very similar to Invisalign’s clear aligner trays. These retainers are removed when eating and to be brushed/cleaned when performing your regular oral hygiene routine.
Bonded lingual retainers are cemented directly to the inside surface of your lower canines or in some cases your upper teeth, depending on your initial orthodontic problem. As with removable retainers, it is important to keep your bonded retainers clean. When brushing, make sure to carefully clean the inside of your lower teeth, as well as the wire itself. Our staff will instruct you on how to floss this area properly the day your bonded retainer is placed.
The Hawley retainer is one of the most common types of retainers. It is a removable retainer made of a combination of a metal wire that typically surrounds the six anterior teeth and is designed to keep your teeth in place. This retainer is made from impressions of your teeth so that it fits snugly and comfortably in the roof of your mouth, while the wire and acrylic framing keeps your teeth in an ideal position. These retainers are removed when eating and to be brushed/cleaned when performing your regular oral hygiene routine.
If you have any questions about the retainers we offer or to learn more about post-orthodontic treatment please feel free to give our office a call and we will be happy to answer any of your questions. 1-800-920-9798

HELP!!! What can I eat with braces??
The best foods to eat with braces are those that are not high in sugar and do not require excessive chewing. For breakfast, try eggs, yogurt, bacon, cottage cheese or oatmeal. Lunch may steer toward a banana rather than an apple, soft sandwich, soup or a salad without nuts, and a glass of water. Avoid fruit juices and pop as these are very acidic.
Post Adjustment Foods
After an adjustment occurs, the teeth may be sore and sensitive for a day or two. During this time, it is best to eat soft foods. Examples include:
- Mashed potatoes
- Ice cream
- Cottage cheese
Foods to Avoid
According to the American Dental Association, anyone who wears braces – whether fixed or removable – should avoid excessive snacking and should aim to eat a healthy and balanced diet. It is also important to avoid foods that could cause damage to the braces, such as:
- Hard candies
- Certain raw vegetables (for example, carrots)
- Crusty bread
No matter what you eat with braces it is important to keep the crevices between the teeth and around the braces very clean. That means brushing and flossing after meals to prevent the build-up of plaque and decay. Not only can failing to do so damage the teeth, but it can also cause discoloration.
Over the counter pain medication can be used to help with any discomfort you may have after your adjustment appointment. Sometimes, taking over the counter pain medication before your adjustment appointment may help as well.
If you have any concerns or questions about foods to avoid please do not hesitate to contact our office. 1-800-920-9798 or visit our website www.londonbraces.com

If you haven't heard we are collecting pennies for "The Waterschool Project" Check out the full details below!
Dr. Baby, Dr. Rojas and team would like to bring awareness to a cause that the office has supported for many years, “The Waterschool”.
When we run our tap to brush our teeth, for a glass of water, or to a fill up a pot to boil your pasta, we don’t always think about the people of developing countries who do not have that luxury. Many people in rural areas and in developing countries draw their drinking water mainly from surface sources such as ponds, rivers and lakes. These same sources are used by cattle and other livestock and for bathing, washing clothes and other domestic uses. Even when improved sources are provided (bore holes, rain water harvesting, etc.), the water is usually contaminated during collection, transportation and storage. The Waterschool educates the people of this by using a three step process which ensures clean water through existing agencies in the beneficiary area. The Waterschool is currently working in Uganda and Kenya and has worked in Haiti in the past.
Over the summer months our office will be collecting pennies in support of this cause. All penny donations will be matched by the doctors and donated to The Waterschool and its initiatives. It is amazing; a $10 donation can help provide clean water to one child for a LIFETIME!
All three of our office locations are happy to take pennies that you may have laying around off your hands. Water jugs will be set up at each office location for this purpose. Please remember every penny helps! Our office is open to the public to bring in their pennies, not just our patients and families so please spread the word! You can also help by donating any current Smiles Miles to this cause. If you would like to donate your Smile Miles please email Tricia firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.

Malocclusion of the teeth is a term frequently used at our office. Ever wonder what the orthodontist or another staff member means when using this term? Malocclusion simply means the teeth are not aligned properly.
Malocclusion is most often hereditary, which means the condition is passed down through families. There may be a difference between the size of the upper and lower jaws or between jaw and tooth size, resulting in overcrowding of teeth or in abnormal bite patterns.
Other causes of malocclusion include:
- Childhood habits such as thumb sucking, tongue thrusting, pacifier use beyond age 3, and prolonged use of a bottle
- Extra teeth, lost teeth, impacted teeth, or abnormally shaped teeth
- Ill-fitting dental fillings or crowns
- Misalignment of jaw fractures after a severe injury
- Tumors of the mouth and jaw
When it comes to malocclusion there are different categories;
- Class 1 malocclusion is the most common. The bite is normal, but the upper teeth slightly overlap the lower teeth.
- Class 2 malocclusion, also called overbite, occurs when the upper jaw and teeth severely overlap the bottom jaw and teeth.
- Class 3 malocclusion, also called underbite, occurs when the lower jaw protrudes or juts forward, causing the lower jaw and teeth to overlap the upper jaw and teeth.
Some symptoms of malocclusion include;
- Abnormal alignment of teeth
- Abnormal appearance of the face
- Difficulty or discomfort when biting or chewing
- Speech difficulties (rare) including lisp
- Mouth breathing
By treating moderate or severe malocclusion, the teeth are easier to clean and there is less risk of tooth decay and periodontal diseases (gingivitis or periodontitis). Treatment eliminates strain on the teeth, jaws, and muscles, which lessens the risk of breaking a tooth and may reduce symptoms of temporomandibular joint disorders.
The goal at our office is to correct the positioning of the teeth with braces or other appliances.

Last year we received a request from one our patient families to help out with the “The Cinderella Project” and we were thrilled to jump on board to support this fantastic cause.
Do you remember your Grade 8 or High School graduation? How about the dress and accessories you wore or the girl you took and how special she looked when you picked her up?
Every young girl deserves to feel that good when celebrating their achievement of graduating from elementary or high school. Unfortunately, that isn’t always financially possible for everyone. We are also very aware of the recent closures of the industries in and around our community and how that will increase the need for assistance.
Again this year ‘The Cinderella Project’ will be making available to the girls in our community dresses, shoes, clutches, fingernail polish & bling - anything that will make their night perfect.
We are hoping you, your friends and family will take time to check your closets, and donate any unneeded dresses and prom accessories. Dresses (and accessories) can be dropped off at any of our three locations until February 28th. We will take care of the rest.
The dresses should be gently used and suitable for either graduation (public or secondary), or prom. Unfortunately, wedding dresses cannot be accepted. The Cinderella project does offer garment bags to the girls when they pick up their dresses, but if you have one that you could spare, it would be greatly appreciated.
For more info on The Cinderella Project please click the link below:
Last year we were thrilled to donate approximately 200 dresses and many accessories to the Cinderella Project.
We appreciate your support and say thank you on behalf of all of the beautiful girls that will be attending graduation/prom this June.

It's National Orthodontic Health Month and we want to make sure you braces are as clean and as shiny as they can be! Here are some great tips on keeping those braces sparkling!!
One tooth at a time. When you brush, take time with each individual tooth – at least 10 seconds each – and pay careful attention to the spots where your teeth touch your braces.
It’s all about the angles. Brush the tops of your teeth and braces with your brush angled down toward where they meet. Brush the bottoms of your teeth and braces with your brush angled up.
The tooth, the whole tooth, nothing but the tooth. While the front surface of your teeth may seem like the most logical to clean, it’s equally important to clean the inner surface of your teeth (tongue side) as well as the chewing surface. And be sure to clean along your gum line – a key spot for plaque buildup.
Step 1: eat, step 2: clean. While you’re in treatment, it’s important to brush after every meal. Bits of food can easily get caught between braces and teeth, and these food bits interact with bacteria in your mouth to cause decay. The longer food is in contact with your teeth, the greater opportunity for plaque to form. If you are eating somewhere that you can’t brush, thoroughly rinse your mouth with water.
Always be prepared. The easiest way to be sure you can brush after every meal is to get in the habit of taking a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss with you wherever you go. Designate a special container just for your teeth-cleaning tools and keep it in your purse, backpack, or laptop case.
Remove the moving parts. If you have elastic bands or headgear, remove these parts before you brush or floss.
Fluoride is your friend. Fluoride helps prevent cavities. Be sure to brush with fluoride toothpaste, and rinse with fluoride mouthwash.
Interproximal brushes (sometimes called proxa brushes or interdental brushes) are cone-shaped and come in very handy for reaching spots around your braces that standard brushes can’t.
Find the floss for you. Regular floss works for some patients, but others find it easier to work with a floss threader, which helps you get the floss into tight places. Other patients like an all-in-one product called Superfloss, which comes with a stiff end for easy threading, a spongy section for cleaning wide spaces, and regular floss for narrow spaces.
Make time for the pros. It’s your job to take care of the everyday cleaning. But make sure to visit your dentist regularly while in treatment, to get the deep, thorough cleaning that only a professional can provide.

Great question! When you first come in for your initial consultation, Drs. Baby & Rojas will conduct a comprehensive examination to assess your oral health. This will better enable us to determine the best treatment method for you.
Your orthodontic evaluation will consist of an oral and facial examination to assess your oral health. We will have you take intraoral and facial photographs as well as panoramic and cephalometric X-rays to help determine the proper orthodontic treatment method. Then, an impression of your teeth and bite will be taken to construct a model of your mouth. (This will help us when examining your diagnostic records).
Then, we will discuss your options with you. Our team feels it’s important to take the time to carefully examine your diagnostic records after your consultation so that we can more thoroughly prepare for your treatment at the office of Drs. Baby & Rojas. This additional preparation will ensure that you receive the best orthodontic care possible. At this time, we encourage you to ask us any questions you may have about your treatment.
If you are seeking orthodontic treatment for your child, our staff asks that both you and your child attend the initial consultation. We feel it is important that both you and your child completely understand the doctor’s recommendations before we proceed with treatment.
Give us a call today and schedule a consultation! We look forward to hearing from you!

Orthodontic treatment for adults is becoming more and more common. In fact, the number of adults getting braces has actually climbed 24 percent since 1996! More adults than ever are realizing that orthodontic treatment is not just for kids, and can help improve the aesthetics and health of a smile of any age! In society where appearance matters and can help make the difference between getting a job or a promotion, adults are choosing wisely to invest in orthodontic treatment.
Some of the most common reasons our adult patients come to us considering orthodontic treatment include:
• Teeth that are crowded or spaced apart, sometimes as a result of tooth decay or gum disease
• Pain or pressure from crooked teeth or a misaligned jaw
• A bad bite or malocclusion, causing teeth to fit together incorrectly
Most of all though, adult patients come to our office seeking a healthier mouth and a more confident smile! Orthodontic treatment at our office can be successful at any age, and adults especially can appreciate the benefits of a beautiful smile.
As an adult patient, we recognize that you have different needs than our younger patients, and we will work with you to ensure you receive the most appropriate treatment and that your needs are met with understanding and respect from us.
If you’ve been thinking about getting that perfect smile, we would love to have you visit for a consultation. We understand you have a busy schedule, and will work with you to find a time that is convenient for you. Please visit our website or give our office a call to schedule your appointment today!

Braces aren't just for kids anymore! Regardless of your age, if you've always wanted to smile with confidence, but knowing that your teeth were less than perfect held you back, getting braces might be the solution you've been looking for. A straight smile can do so much for your self-esteem, and at the office of Dr. Paula Baby and Jaime Rojas, we want to help you achieve the smile of your dreams.
In addition to the aesthetic benefits of orthodontic treatment, there are many health benefits as well. Teeth that are properly aligned are easier to clean and function more optimally when it comes to eating and speaking.
If you recognize any of these signs in your child or yourself, it might be time to schedule a consultation with Drs. Baby & Rojas.
• Early or late loss of baby teeth
• Difficulty chewing or biting
• Mouth breathing
• Sucking the thumb or fingers, or other oral habits
• Crowded, misplaced, or blocked-out teeth
• Jaws that shift, make sounds, protrude, or are recessed
• Speech difficulty
• Biting the cheek or biting into the roof of the mouth
• Protruding teeth, teeth that meet in an abnormal way, or teeth that don’t meet at all
• Grinding or clenching of teeth
• Inability to comfortably close lips
Drs. Baby & Rojas will be able to assess your orthodontic needs during your appointment and explain all the wonderful benefits you can expect to receive during your time in braces. We look forward to seeing you or your child for a consultation!
February 13th, 2012
Your smile is totally unique, so the time you’ll need to spend undergoing orthodontic treatment will also be unique. Generally, orthodontic treatment will take about two years, and this is for good reason. During this time, your teeth will slowly move into their desired positions, leaving you with a great smile with as little discomfort as possible. Rushing treatment can result in a less than perfect smile with a greater chance of tooth movement after your treatment is complete. At the office of Drs. Baby & Rojas we don’t want to waste your time with treatment that won’t retain your smile for the rest of your life.
Of course, treatment time will vary depending on your specific situation. Very minor tooth movement may only take a few months to correct, while serious malocclusion (poor bite) may need more than two years to correct. Only Drs. Baby & Rojas will be able to accurately estimate the time your treatment will take. But trust us—it’ll all be worth it in the end!
Has your child or teen visited our office for an orthodontic consultation? If not, please give us a call and let us help him or her begin the journey to a gorgeous smile!
December 1st, 2011
Your dentist may have discussed with you the benefits of having healthy teeth and proper jaw alignment. Drs. Baby & Rojas will both tell you that crooked and crowded teeth are hard to clean and maintain, which can result in tooth decay, worsen gum disease and eventually lead to tooth loss.
Other orthodontic problems, specifically concerned with how the teeth bite together can contribute to abnormal wear of tooth surfaces, inefficient chewing function, excessive stress on gum tissue and the bone that support, or misalignment of the jaw joints. Orthodontic treatment with Drs. Baby & Rojas can be less costly than the additional care required to treat dental problems that arise as a result of uncorrected orthodontic problems. For most people, a beautiful smile is the most obvious benefit of orthodontics. After your braces come off, you'll feel more self-confident. To get started with orthodontic your treatment today, please contact us to schedule a consultation.

At the office of Drs. Baby and Rojas, we know good dental health requires only a few minutes a day. We thought we’d provide some practical advice on how to improve your or your child’s smile between your visits with Drs. Baby and Rojas.
Start by brushing your teeth twice a day. Proper brushing techniques are an essential part of maintaining good oral health, as well as preventing gum disease. Brushing daily helps remove decay-causing plaque from tooth surfaces. Please consult Drs. Baby and Rojas if you would like us to review brushing techniques with you or your child. Flossing daily will also prevent plaque to build up between the teeth and prevent stains between your teeth. Research has shown the bacteria of gum disease has been linked to coronary artery disease, stroke, diabetes and memory loss. Lastly, we encourage you to throw away old toothbrushes and replace them every 2 or 3 months, or after an illness.
We hope this helps! If you have any further questions about any of these tips, please contact our convenient Wingham, Goderich and London offices or ask us on Facebook!

The laser, called the ezlase 940, is the first dental laser to obtain clearance at the unique 940 nm wavelength, and enables Drs. Baby and Rojas to remove tissue and place brackets to teeth sooner in order to speed up treatment.
In the past, orthodontists would sometimes wait 6 months - one year for these teeth to fully erupt before placing brackets. Now we can drastically speed up treatment with laser tissue removal! The really great news about this laser is that it is one of the most high tech on the market. It also runs at a very specific wavelength that is far more comfortable for patients and uses and superior control of bleeding during dental procedures. Small and ultralight, the ezlase 940 enables Drs. Baby and Rojas to produce results and more comfortably than ever.
You can learn more about this process by giving us a call today or asking us on Facebook!

Let's say you're getting braces soon. While you’re excited about finally having that great, gorgeous smile, you may be nervous about wearing wires and brackets for two or more years. Well, Drs. Baby and Rojas would like to tell you about an orthodontic system that makes straightening your teeth with braces a lot faster and easier compared to conventional orthodontic treatment. It’s called Insignia, and it’s changing the way people feel about their braces.
While traditional orthodontic treatments take two or more years, it’s not true for Insignia. Through the use of Insignia’s sophisticated 3-D imaging, treatment planning, and customized braces with customized precision archwires, Drs. Baby and Rojas can reduce treatment time compared to that of conventional braces.
In addition to shortening treatment times, the greater efficiency of the Insignia system at London Braces also helps reduce the number of wire changes and adjustments you’ll need, and that means fewer trips to our office. The Insignia system’s 3-D software lets Drs. Baby and Rojas analyze how to effectively and efficiently align your teeth. Through this software, personalized archwires are designed to move your teeth into proper alignment smoothly and directly, reducing the number of maintenance visits. Unlike traditional orthodontics and their “one size fits all” approach, Insignia Advanced Smile Design customizes braces and wires to you. The result is a radiant smile that reflects your individuality.
Give us a call and ask us about this revolutionary treatment! Our offices are conveniently located in Wingham and London, Ontario. We provide orthodontic care for the following communities: London, Wingham, Lucan, Exeter, Clinton, Goderich, Seaforth, Kincardine, Hanover, Brussels, Lambeth, Middlesex County.
Enjoy the rest of your week!

This week, we wanted to introduce you to Nancy Plumsteel, our appointment coordinator at our Goderich orthodontic office. She wanted to share the following with everyone, check it out!
I have been working in the dental field for 19 years. I graduated from Fanshawe College dental assisting program in 1991. I am the person who will greet you at our Goderich office, book your appointments and answer your questions. I live in Goderich and am happily married with 3 children. My spare time is spent enjoying the outdoors which includes hiking, camping and going to the beach or just relaxing by the pool.
