Last May we introduced you to Mark Ideson, who Dr Baby knew while growing up in Parry Sound. Mark survived the unthinkable in 2006, when a helicopter accident left him quadriplegic at the age of 30. Last year Mark was entered into a contest by his wife to win a wheelchair accessible van by telling his “local hero” story. We provided you with the link and you voted – we thank you for that support. Mark is still proving why he is such a hero. He has always had a passion for curling and with hard work and determination he made the National Wheelchair Curling Team in late 2011. Last week the team competed at the 2013 World Wheelchair Curling Championships in Sochi, Russia. We are excited to announce that they took the GOLD! Congratulations to Mark and his team! Mark lives in London with his wife and 2 children. For his full story please follow the links below. Way to go Mark, you make London, Parry Sound and Canada proud. You are truly an inspiration to all!
